About To Do a Oil Change

People tell me to use 10W - 30 is That correct?

(1985 5.0 Mustang (.30 over)

How many quarts do I need?

5 quarts w/ filter change

use synthetics if you have new seals,

It didnt blow because of the oil. Either you over revved it and blew it up, or it was about to go anyway.

lmao xxc, thats the second time i hear somebody say thier engine blew becuase of the oil, course the first time he was using 20-50w in a '90 eclipse GS

That's rediculous, synthetic oil never hurt an engine.

Maybe the synthetic on his old motor made some holes in the seals since it was a old motor i quess and then you ran out of oil then it blew. Dont blame the oil blame the seals..(Or thats what atleast I think happened) But since you now have a new motor it shoudl be all good.
