I cant afford heads even though it would be the best to start with. reason im doin the camfirst is that it needs a timing chain doesn't make sense not to while im in there. My buddy has e-303 cam but not enough lope. I want good powerand a good lope. It's gotPerformer rpm intake and 670 avenger carb. long tube headers soon to come. Here are some ive looked at already. Open to all suggestions any feed back greatly appreciated.

your going to need new valve springs - just an FYI. thats not a recommendation btw, you'll have coil bind without swapping them

RE: Cam help!!!
crazy im gonna have to disagree with you there bud.
stock lifters are fine, and the main reason people have to upgrade the pushrods are because they get guideplates and then have to get hard ones to prevent them from getting chewed up. with the cam selection he is making, the springs he needs will not be insanely stiff - probably something like 120 lbs of seat pressure - which is just fine for stock pushrods.
for the chain, you can grab a quality true roller cloyes piece for like 40 bucks. any more money than that and you are pissing it away for what your application is.
