You'll be slower with the Torker. If you NEED a single plane manifold(which I doubt you do since I'm assuming you don't have a 7,500rpm screamer) then use a Vic. Jr. since the Torker is an atempt at a single plane manifold in a dual plane rpm range.....it failed. An Edelbrock or Weiand low rise dual plane, or a medium rise dual plane if you have a pretty thumpy street cam(powerup to 6,500rpm)and some gear in the rear will do you much better

well besides the fact of the torker intake sucking is a carb setup the way to go?

the torquer was good back in the day, now its been proven over and over again that the performer rpm makes more torque and even makes 2-3 hp up top over the torquer. if you are wanting to move to carb i would buy a different manafold. he is only offering about $325 worth of parts new.

going carb is a good way to usually pick up 20-25 hp over a stock efi setup, you have a fairly decient intake so gains would be minimal right now.
i would stay efi untill you find some decient heads, than move to carb. if you stayed with efi with good heads you would dump lots of $$ into a bigger maf, tb, injectors, fuel pump, etc.

i would rather build a carb motor vs an efi motor.
