get it up to operating temp, then leave it in nutral and idle, pull the dipstick, wipe it off, put it back in all the way, then pull it back out

oh ok ill try to figure it out, and if its low... how do i refill the tranny and what is the best fluid to use out there?

you just put some in and check it, repeat until you have enough, mobil 1 syntheic, or if you can ge it, Amsoil> ALL!

I've had the same problem from 75-80mph with it getting worse the faster you go. I've had the drive shaft check and new joints, checked both axles (one bent and replaced) changed trans clutch, flywheel this afternoon. Its better but still there. I'm considering putting my dog bone back on. The input shaft to my old trans had play in it, both in and out and up and down. I'm puzzled too.
