Not sure if this is the suggested thing to do, but you can get under the car after jacking up the rear and don't put the emergency brake on. Then try to turn your driveshaft by hand back and forth. See if there is any slop/play at the ujoints. Everything should move together if you rotate the drive shaft by hand in either direction.
