depending on if your motor is a one piece or two piece rear main seal..... but im confused at the different O.D.'s cause wtf they should both be mating to a C4 bellhousing and therefore the spacing to the starter teeth should be the same.

im friggen lost now
mine loosk similar to the 50 oz flywheel, I see the difference, but I'm not sure what it means, 164 teeth? does that mean I have to go out there with a sharpie and count those fuggers?

I have a 1 piece rear main seal on the 5.0, I just picked it up at autozone, figured I'll replace it while its out

is there anything stamped on the harmonic balancer that would tell me what the balance is? I have the crank pulley off the 3.8 and the 5.0 so I can see them easily

this may sound retarded, but what about the 3.8 balancer on the 5.0?

how bad of a vibration... like unbalanced load in the washer or earthquake "the house is falling down" vibration?

like, why did my engine blow up in 500 miles vibration.....

why dont you nab that flewplate off ebay since its uber cheap (you dont NEED a new one ya know), also grab a balancer off a roller 5.0 - again, ebay or local junk yard

gotcha, forgot, vibration=death

do you mean the harmonic balancer that is on the front of the crank, the part mounted behind the crank pulley? my 5.0 has one of those, the crank pulley is what it is missing...

I did ask the guy about the flywheel, emailed him all of 5 minutes ago, 17 bucks is good compared to the 55ish amount Advance wanted for a new one. as long as the teeth are good, I'm game, hell I have 17 dollars in my pocket right now...[8D] I'm rollin' in da phat stacks...

all my questions for the 3.8 flywheel was, well, I'm a cheap bastard not stupid when it comes to cars..., and I was trying to do this build on a cheap budget and a kinda quick deadline... only have till mid august before I go back to school, drop down mega hours in work and find myself 160 miles from my driveway... I know what I need to do to put the engine back in, I just wanted to save cash on stuff I didnt need to worry about so I could use it on the stuff I dont have... like a carb and exhaust
