Hey guys I got my ride running pretty dang good but i have a slight issue with spark rattle. My first question is how long does the computer run cold start cycle? untill the coolant temp sensor takes over to help adjust for air fuel ratio? I ask this because my car runs great for the first 5 min of run time thats with 5min idle or longer to warm up. so 5 min driving time. Then it starts to ping. It rattles bad to. Timing is set at 10 advanced. My coolant temp sensor is not hooked up at all. Just wondering if thats my problem? afr 165 heads, lunati cam, 24lb injectors, 80mm mafor for 24's. and so on all the suportimg mods. Fp is good. just lost on this.

Why isn't your coolant temp. sensor connected? And what happened to your supercharger?

You have the temp sensor for the gauge disconnected or the ect for the computor, which one? You say timing is set at 10 advanced, meaning the base is set at 10 or you have 10 more on top of the base.

10 base. its the sensor for the gauge. but i thought that passed throught the computer. I bought an 04 lightning needed to sell the s/c for som down payment money.

No, the two are separate. Is the egr system working? Is this on your 88?

What spark plugs are you running? What is your compression ratio now with the new heads?

no clue what comp ratio is I did not check it. Its stock short block. It did run fine. something happend all of a sudden. autolite 3925 i think, whatever afr says to run. no 92 mass air lol. no sd for me. working bro like 60-70 hours a week. lost the g/f but thats not a bad thing. lol got something great the other night living it up thats what.
