Default 460 swap

Hi.. if this is in the wrong section srry.. but i am upgrading from to 5.0 to either 7.0 or 7.5
i tried searching but it keeps sayin page unvaliable.

OK .. from what i heard its a drop in thing... im getting the motor mounts from summit ( rubber bushing) $173
going to get the hooker ceramic headers $700
oil pan ( rear sump) $ 729
460 crate engine (complete)dynoed at 512 ho 507 tq $4995

Ok does is sound like im on the right track here... .is there anything else im going to need to bolt it in to my 87 fox..

I know this is nose heavy, so is there any fronts struts, or springs, i can use to make it a little better.

also this is going to be carb'd,, so i am not worry about wiring...

and as for transmission, what will work, in speaking of Auto and Manual..

i have a C4, what auto and manual tranny will work. thanks

you would be better off boring and stroking a 351W...you can get 427+ cubes, and could easily make more power than that crate motor with the right parts. probably cheaper too if you found a used roller block.

and THAT ladies and gentlemen, is why a 429/460 is a better platform to start with than any small block. there is no denying the wickedness of the power potential you have with a big block.
