I have a hacked together muffler shop catback with flowmasters. A muffler shop owner once told me that I can't make my exhaust any louder w/out replacing my stock h-pipe. Then, according to a muffler comparison I once read, Flowmasters were among the quietest catbacks available. I don't want it too much louder, but a little bit would be nice. What catback systems would create a nice increase in loudness?

well slp is decent but loud and I'd get an x-pipe that'll change the sound I have a mac set up and it's louder than my flowmaster set up on another car. personally the mac gave me the best of both worlds not to loud but louder and better sounding than flowmaster

Thanks, 86...you silly man. Good thread. Everyone has more than just a catback, so it's a little hard to judge what mine will sound like. "93 5.0" has a similar setup, but it's only an idle video. Sounds much louder than mine though, so I guess it answers my question of whether I can get louder mufflers. Good looking out, 86.

I have catback with Warlocks, they might be what you are looking for. In the head to head muffler comparison that 5.0 magazine did, they did excellently. With the plugs out, it is a gauranteed 100% ticket if you come within a mile of a police officer. With em in, however, it still provides a mean, aggressive tone.

Mac (I believe), Magnapacks, SLP 1 or 2, and Bassani I'm pretty sure are all louder than 40 series Flows.

Here it is! The best muffler ever made! Spintech Pro Streets(i think i might have the race series) They are kinda loud when im at idle, when im just cruising they aren't very loud, when im WOT they freakin scream! And inside the car they dont resonate at all, all you here is the noise not the drone!
