long tubes dont decrease comression..... the only things that do are worn rings, head gasket leaks, or bigger cumbustion chamber space

long tubes would be the best choice, only if you dont mind the couple of hours it takes to put in... but if you dont want to put much labor in it, shorty's are only like 5-6 less hp than long tubes.... but i would have to say lt's look and sound better

Oh ok, I wasn't sure why they recommend longtubes if you want to supercharge your car.

Wouldn't putting in longtubes hurt your torque band?

long tubes will change your rpm band some..moving it to the upper limit which on a low hp car isn't a good thing as most of your time your at or under 5500 rpm....LT's can be tuned which is a real plus but you need alot of dyno time to do this and just isn't feasible on a low hp car....to me anything under 400 is low.....as for rusting all headers will do this unless ceramic coated due to moistuer in the air and heat cycles it goes thur..... hope this healps

i have longtubes and they are cool, i like them but they are a pain in the arss to work around sometimes, especially when pulling the trans/bellhousing. If you have mild mods and dont plan on going too extreme with the car, just get some equal length shorties and save the headache.
