dont use carb cleaner on the cable.

good god.

carb cleaner eats rubber and plastic. melted rubber and plastic bind against metal cable.

you wanna create a worse sticking situation?

i just took my cable out cleaned it and soaked the spring end in oil and ran some inside the housing and then sprayed wd-40 on the throttle body return spring. BIG difference

take it off the throttle body...take it out of the guide...then you have to take the 2 bolts off the firewall that hold the cable in..and thenn you have to take it off the pedal.

if removing/lubing a throttle cable is too hard and time consuming, you...
A.) need to get rid of the car, it will soon have many small quirks that require attention
B.) step up and learn what you are doing. its much more gratifying.
C.) pay a shop and lose your *** doing so
