ok so with a converter do you absolutly need a tranny cooler?
It would be a great idea, especially considering how cheap they are and how easy they are to install. Heat = bad. Slipping converter = heat. High stall = slipping converter.

Don't forget guys, that an AOD has a lockup converter. This will eleminate slippage at cruise.

Like samseed said, the whole point of a convertor is to let your engine get in its rpm range, For example if the cam is a 2500-6000 cam or makes peak torque at 3000 then thats the stall size you should get.

ok my mods are H/C/I, 24 injectors, 190 fuel pump, 410 gears, pullys, cold air intake, 1.7 rockers, long tubes, MAC prochamber, and my car really kicks in at about 3000 RPMs. The only other thing i will do witht this motor is prolly a chip and tune. The car is driven on the street an strip.

Convertor needs to match the cam and intended rpm range. Buy a cooler.
