Default rebuilding an AOD

well i have an excelent tranny guy and ive just put a rebuilt 306 with e303 in my 89 gtother than that and exhast its pretty much stock but i figure if i got the money to do it now i better befor i bolt on any real power, so i have about a grand and my tranny guy says hell do it for next to nothing so what parts including stall and shift kit would you guys do that will keep me under my budget, and i eventually want about a 400-450hp car and i dont really want to rebuild it again but if i have to i will.
