c4 or aod

RE: c4 or aod
3 options for 400hp automatic car
1) c4
2) c4
or 3) c4
i hate aods, had no luck at all w/ them, went through 4 of them on 2 diff cars
rpms won't be bad, your t5 in 4th gear will be the same as a c4 in 3rd, both are 1:1
99% of all final drive ratios in non-od cars is 1:1 , or the gear b4 od in anything else
look at your door tag for the gear you have under "ax" m=2.73, z=3.08, e=3.27(aod only)

RE: c4 or aod
Just because one person has a ****ty transmission builder or doesn't feel like properly adjusting his TV cable, doesn't mean that the AOD is a bad transmission. There are plenty of 400 rwhp +cars running around with AODs. Remember that the converter doesn't lock up in a C4 which = a LOT more heat. Look around corral in the turbo section, there's a guy pushing 730 rwhp through an AOD. But the C4 on the other hand is slightly cheaper. But which would you rather have? An inexpensive transmission with no converter lock up or 4th gear, or something that's a lot more streetable and gets ALOT better gas mileage that's alittle more expensive.
