Why is my 87 302 with speed density loading up after installing a B303 cam? It gets so bad it won't run. I see a lot of people who only complain about idle problems... I trashed a set of plugs after about 5 min. of run time.

I went back and found that the MAP sensor hose was not connected...... Sorry for the error! This forum was the support that led me back to recheck. Thanks for all your help

 

its needs to be converted to mass air to fix the problem

 

Yep i have an 88 with speed density, and i installed AFR 185's and a b303 and it wouldn't idle, so i bought a mass air conversion, and bam problem solved

 

speed density does not like mods, especially a cam.

 

If you decide to let go of the Bcam let me know,maybe we can trade i have a E-cam.

 

either have a chip done or convert to mass air or just buy a PMS

Could the map sensor cause this problem? Does an 87 have a map sensor?

 

Yes an 87 has a MAP sensor...but he needs to convert to mass air flow.
