Default fuel rails

how do i remove them my manual talks about a special tool does anyone have any pictures how to remove them and do you really need the special tool

No special tool needed, just undue the 4 bolts (2 on each side im pretty sure) and carefully wiggle up pry up on the rail. Its one assembly so try to take them off evenly. Also, when you get it out then injectors might stay in the intake or they might come up with the rail. Look over the O-rings for damage and if they are still good, lube them up real well before you go to install the rails. If not you WILL ruin them and leak fuel everywhere.

uhh there is a special tool need to separate the fuel rail... you cant rent them from auto zone

here is a different version than the ones you can rent..

Oh, the tool for the fuel LINES....I thought he just wanted to get the rail off the intake. I guess a little more details might have helped me...or I'm just retarded [:@]

If you're talking about separation the fuel line from the fuel rail at the GartnerSpring you can get either of these at Auto Zone, Chiefs or Kragens.

why rent, they cost about $10 for a full set of about 6 different sizes.......youll need 2 of them since the return line and sender line are different thicknesses
