Default manual steering

i dont really need to replace anything on the steering system yet but just wanted to know how hard is manual steering for everyday driving. i plan to replace the whole front end and thought maybe manual rack. id only have crank water pump and alt. pullies then. i think thatd be cool.

Default RE: manual steering

i had the same question. i've drivin a 65 mustang convert that had no power steering. sucks from a stand still but moving it feels no different from PS. does anyone know if a quick ratio would be any easier or the same for the manual steering racks

quick ratio is harder but the wheels will turn a little faster. i have manual steering on my daily driver and its no big deal at all. it was harder when i ran a standard sized tire up front but no i have a 4" tire and its really easy
