Default rear end question

Will a rear end from a 86 GT fit in an 89 GT? This is from drum to drum.

yes how ever the 86 might be a 7.5" vs the 89 came with an 8.8". i know some where between 83 and 87 they made that change i just don't know what year exactly.

Something to think of. Did '88 have ALBS? If it did you may have a problem..........
