Default RE: powerdyne vs vortech?

Who set the record before and with what? A record is there for only one reason, to be broken, and trust me, it will be. It just so happens the current record holder has a twin turbo, perhaps the next will have a s/c, who knows, does it mean that later when his record is broken that all of a sudden you're wrong? Of course not, you claim to be saying that everything has its pros and cons, yet you always arrive to the same conclusion. You're obviously biased toward the turbo setup, and I'm not saying it doesn't work, I'm just saying that you shouldn't base all of your conclusions on one magazine article that said in a "shoot-out" they did the turbo won, like I said, perhaps if they tried a different setup the superchargers might have had the upper hand, who knows.

All I know is that the majority of the people I know who drag race professionally use superchargers or nitrous if they're lazy, lol.

I did not read every post but heres what i know the powerdyne belt driven units are excelent up to 9psi the boost and hp numbers are accurate, the powerdyne XB-1A is about the best centrical super charger you can get for under 2000.00 for a head unit 18psi 1600cfm.

Vortech is a better quality but a 9psi unit is almost 500 buck more than a 9si powerdyne.

Procharger is the best but how can really afford to run one of those and why would you need to 9psi is plenty for any street strip car.
Procharger is not the "best" for a bolt -on to a stock car.
I know that, thats why my post says "and why would you need to 9psi is plenty for any street strip car" to be understood that any powerdyne, vortech, paxton 9psi kit would be better for a street/strip car.
