Default Converting 4 cyl to 8 cyl?

How difficult and costly would it be to convert a 4 cyl to an 8 cyl. I've been searching for a FOX 5.0 and they are so difficult to find in my price range and in my area. There are plenty of 4 cyl. Anyone give me some insight?

Look into thesearch buttonthere is alot of infofor the swap. i am doing it but with a 351w. Its not to hard at all, like an average motor swap. i am rebuilding my whole car and i am 17 and i have done 3 motor swaps and more to come, that'll tell you how difficult it is.

The only problem with converting a 4 cyl to 8 cyl is resale, you will never get what you have invested, and yes i know this is true for even the original 8's. You have a shot at a decent retail if you go with a 351. I would personally wait to find an original v-8 car if you can find one. 4 cyl - 302: not good resale, 4 cyl-351:slightly better, original 8 cyl-351 best, which is what i have by the way. I know you think you will keep car forever, but you wont, you will get another fox in the future .
