Hey guys. I have a 1993 lx 5.0 and the air bag light started flashing today on the way to a car show. it flashes 5 times, and then once. and then starts over again. Or it may be once and then 5? I am not sure if that is a code like 51 or 15? If anyone knows what it means or can tell me what I need to do please respond or message me.

its the airbag diagnostic module telling you that its junk. its a blue box, located somewhere near the HVAC controls and radio. take them both out, you'll find it.

you can safely just remove the module. the light will stop.
although the airbag wont work.

So what does the module do?

if its the code 51 then you ahve the same problem as me. it means you have an intermitent short to ground and the module blew its internal thermal fuse to protect you from having the airbag go off while you drive. you have to find the short to ground and eliminate it. then buy a new module.
