me and a buddy(he's a mechanic) just installed a cobra intake on my car, well first off its bigger than stock in the engine bay. But my problem is my distributor module is hitting the intake..and honestly we think its tripping the fuel pump b/c if u have the key half turned over and wiggle the ditributor a lil bit u hear the fuel pump kick on,maybe by the module touching metal??. We didnt mess with electrical **** and we kinda pin-pointed it to that, but any insight would be great

 

well i dont know what you can do to fix but i like those **** lol!

sounds to me like the distributor needs to be moved one tooth on the cam gear so it won't hit the intake anymore.

 

yeh just move the dist. one toth then re time it

 

I'd say get a MSD billit dist. from summit or something, won't have to worry about that anymore, and just a better dist.
