Default 4banger carb swap

I currently have a 2.3 92 LX and I am going to swap in the older brother. however the engine i bought is a long block. so i was looking for some input on whether it would be better from my starting point to go carb or EFI. it seems way more involved and expensive to go EFI. This will not be an everyday driver just playing on the weekends looking for camaros and such.

The actual question to you guys, without a donor car sitting right there would you just slap a carb on it and go or piece togther an EFI system.

let me know

carb

carb intakes are not too expensive (I got mine used for 50 bucks, an edlebrock performer) but I think they average around 200 bucks new? I may be wrong.

Yep, carby stuff is cheaper all the way thru the process.
Just remember, that in tank pump will have to be ditched, something like a Holley blue pump.regulator will have to be installed.
IMHO, on something that was a 2.3 I would replace fuel lines, go 3/8".......
I also think you'll want a good filter between the tank and the pump.....
