I don't have any experience with the 4.6, but on the 5.0, if they haven't been changed, you'll need a new timing chain, O2 sensors, cats. That's just normal stuff.

I'm a Chevy person at heart, but Ford overbuilds their stuff, where GM puts marginal stuff on their cars. How many Camaro's (since 1973) can run 11's with a stock rear? I rest my case.

the only thing that needs to be replaced on a 5.0 to run 11s as far as rear goes are the axles. the rest can hold up, you underestimate ford rearends. dont get me started on ford 9" i rest my case.

Yah, I've been using Mobil 1, been working pretty damn good for me. No complaints so far. (maybe except for the price...)

I have 117,000 on my engine, and have only done a few oil changes since I have had the car, I dont know if the guy used synthetic or not, so I decided to get some Castrol 10w30.. Should I go to a Mobil 1 10w40 super syn, or keep the Castrol?? I want to try a synthetic, what do you think?

I don't know, synthetic costs a lot more, it's up to you I guess. Castrol is supposed to be pretty good oil.
