Default Car Died!! Help!!!

My car last night was sitting at a stop light and just died! The car would turn over, I have power to all accessiories and lights and everything. The starter is turning the engine over. The car didn't stubmble and die, it just died. It never once caught when I tried re starting it. It sounds as though the fuel is getting to the engine, i hear my fuel pump. There is a new fuel filter. There is a new cap and rotor on the car I just put on the car. I thought it was the coil because it seemed as though it was not giving spark. Changed the coil, put on a brand new MSD one on. Still does not want to catch when I turn it over. I am going to check the fuses, computer, and maybe the pickup on the dist. What should I do...what is it!!!1

Start with the basics: Fuel, Spark, Air......go from there and work your way up.

Yes, first check for spark, it's about the easiest. Just remove a plug, notch it up against something, and crank it over. If you do or do not have spark, we'll go from there. If you don't even want to do that, there's a nifty little spark checking tool you can pick up at the auto parts, it's about 6-8 bucks. Just set it over a plug wire/coil wire etc, and crank it. It has a little spot on the tool that'll flash with the spark.

I don't know if the 95's have it but check to make sure your fuel inertia switch at the rear of the car.

It's probably the electronic ignition module on the side of the dist.

if inertia switch was tripped then he would not be hearing the pump come on.

from experience reading these forums, I would say it's the module in the distributor or the Ignition module

mine actually used to the same thing. I would just be sitting at a stop light and car would shut down for no reason. I could start it up though after I let it cool for a couple of minutes. very strange i know. havent had it happen for a while now- I did replace the TFI ( i think). I have been told many things to start with- my nextmove is going to be the pick up/stator if it happens again. For some reason it is fairly common on 95 5.0's. dont know why
