RE: complete tranny flush
I have done this on other cars since I worked at a dealer and that was there way(Not Ford)Take off the return line at the radiator and connect a hose(clear hose the best)Add one quart of fluid start it up and let it run till you see bubbles then turn it off.Repeat about 10 to 12 times and you should have all the fluid out.We used to have 12 quarts when we did it.The 12th one would be the topp off quart. That will flush the converter as well.It may not be the proper way but will work just as well.

Check it out, find an oil change shop that does tranny flushes throuh the radiator return hose. as old fluid goes out new goes in. This will flush the converter pan everything in the system. Its kinda expensive but worth it when your old tranny fluid stinks to high heaven and you should only do it every 60K. Some converters can hold up to 16 quarts, 2 in the pan.

The only thing you have to watch out while doing that is sometimes it will nock dirt loose from one place and move it somewhere else sometimes causing problems. The pressure they do it with is a little higher than normal.I have been there and done it.I used to use that machine every day to flush transmissions I would not use it on my own car.But thats just my opinion.
