Fuel Pump (?) Question--And a Wierd Coincidence? Diagnostic Challenge?
Hello from Columbus, OH! A quick question and hoping somebody can help me...
My 95 GT convertible has been having problems starting lately...cranking but increasingly hard to start. Sounded to me like the fuel pump going bad, maybe losing its prime or something. I was driving it tonight and it just died on me at the same time the "check engine" light came on. I cranked it over a couple of times...just wouldn't start. I'm figuring fuel pump but would be interested in any thoughts as to what else it might be.
Also (and this is wierd) the left rear window won't come up (I had them all down when driving with the top down). The others came up fine, but that one window won't move...seems dead. Is this coincidence or could the two things have something in common? I'd appreciate any suggestions/ideas, etc.!
Thanks in advance and have a great day.
Larry

RE: Fuel Pump (?) Question--And a Wierd Coincidence? Diagnostic Challenge?
window and car not starting =not related just coincidence.......when it won't start you need to check basics...=do you have spark = buy a spark checker and or do you have fuel pressure = buy a gauge ...you can't magically tell if you have sufficient fuel pressure/volumne expecially when you turn the key to the on position and can hear the pump prime
