Default balancer

i noticed a slight wobble in my balancer .. do you guys recomend using this one .. im planning on close to 300rwhp eventually..also should i change the crank pulley as well though there is no wobble in it which i thought was strange cuz isnt the pully bolted onto the balancer directly ..any idea why the balancer would go on a 30k mile engine .. should i look further into it as in could it be something else causing the balancer to wobble ?Mustangs Unlimited - The Source for Mustang Parts, Shelby Parts, Cougar Parts and Accessories

Thats fine,Id get a fluid one a few years later, they outlast the car usually

Harmonic Vibrations lead to a variety of mechanical failures .

Signs of a failed Harmonic Balancer: Leaking from main seal. Deterioration of the rubber between the hub and the outer ring. A visible cracking of the balancer hub or in the outer ring. Any wobble of the balancer or wobble in the drive pulley. Excessive engine vibration. Slipping or noisy drive belts, belt damage or accelerated belt wear. A highly polished spon on the pulley grooves, means a warped balancer. Elongation of the balancer key-way or wear on the balancer hub or crankshaft. Failure in the alternator, power steering pump, A/C or water pump. Engines that don't run properly when adjusting the timing. Poor engine performance, irregular idle.

From what I've seen here on the boards just in the last 2-3 months, Ford factory balancers must be the biggest POS of all time.
When I raced MOPARS ('79-'01) it would be normal to find a balancer from 30 years earlier that would still be fine.......

I think mopars use a 1 piece balancer. Ford uses a 2 piece with a rubber ring in the middle that dry rots and falls apart.
