Default changing from head bolts to studs?

why do people change head bolts to studs?
do it allow for better strength for holding head gaskets?
also why do people change to studs for crank caps?

Head studs are reusable unlike bolts, plus i believe the clamping force is a lot better and more even with the studs.

the studs pull the head down evenly compared to the bolts that try to pull the bolt up, as well as the head down.

thats basically it right there... studs allow for more of a pulling the head down idea... as opposed to bolts that pull the block up.... it does make sense if you realize the tight tight tollerances you have in an engine.... same goes for main rods and such...

and yes their reuseable.... but so are head bolts, so long as they are not tq to yield
