I ha ve a 92 gt and when i turn the a/c it feels like a v6, well not really but i makes a huges difference.

A/c systems create a huge drain on power of the vehicle...if you race turn it off but there should be a WOT switch built in to the system and the ecm cuts power to the clutch at WOT....so no need to worry.....
