So lately I've been having issues with my car not starting right. The problem is, it'll crank for a good 5-10 seconds before it starts, and sometimes I have to give it a second shot. I read up about some starting issues and tried doing the 'turn your key until the pump primes then turn it off, and repeat multiple times before you start your car' which didn't seem to help. I've checked my timing and all my plugs and wires are brand new. It doesn't seem to be related to being warm or cold, it's really intermittent. Sometimes it'll start just fine in the morning, other times it wont. Sometimes after a 20 mile freeway trip, i'll shut it off and it won't start back up right away.

I tried putting my old IAC gasket back and tried different timings with no luck as well.

and I'm not sure if this even does anything, but I've tried giving it a little bit of gas when starting it, and it does nothing.

could be distributor or TFI related... you should look in the stickies for the TFI tests... you MIGHT have a bad pickup coil
