Default Automatic Stalling

i recently had a tune up. they replaced a speed sensor in the transmission. they said it caused the engine to stall in idol. but now it is happening again. is it really the speed sensor or something else????

quite possibly it's not a transmission issue at all...could be an IAC valve malfunctioning

it could be a torque converter lockup solenoid if your car stalls when coming to a stop, but if it's stalling when you start up and it goes to idle then most likley an IAC issue

is has a manual speed sensor. not really a sensor though since sensors are electronic. his is cable driven.

yeah , that will not cause the engine to stall in an AOD, hell you can unplug that sensor with a good running car and it will idle fine.

Try cleaning throttle body and Idle Air motor with throttle body cleaner.

Commonly, the IAC(Idle Air Motor) is at fault and need of replacement.

If accompanied by lack of power, id replace the fuel filter.
