distributor replacement, some questions
I've recently experienced the dreaded 'it feels like its out of gas' effect just like when my tfi module went bad a few months ago. I've attributed this to the pip inside the distributor that hasn't been swapped since new on this '87 mustang gt.
So I got a rebuilt distributor and I have 2 questions:
1) is it okay to use heatsink compound (the stuff you put between a cpu and it's heatsink in your computer) instead of the dielectric grease supplied with new tfi modules?
2) the cam is stock so does the distributor gear need to be steel or cast iron?
Thanks for your help!

Thanks for the replies, I had already gotten the steel gear one and hope the moderator is right.[sm=smiley20.gif]
As for the grease, I'm using the tfi I had on the old distr. and therefore have no more grease. Is this just any old dielectric stuff or is it special?
