That isn't for you heater, that is your emission vacuum sorce. I took all the crap off my car....me vents work great. The third picture down, see the line the T's off the the round thing in the black vacuum line then goes down to the fire wall.....

That line goes to the A/C Accumulator/Drier
2nd pic
That’s one end of a vacuum manifold; the other end goes to, air diverter valve, air bypass valve and egr valve and vacuum source from your intake.
3rd pic
Same vacuum manifold but yourshowing TAB & TAD sensors on back side of passenger side strut tower from what i can tell?

I’d suspect this as one of your problems.
As for a Vacuum reservoir-- if the previous didn’t eliminate it, it should still be up in your passenger side fender well.
My guess is that the previous owner may have gone under the dash and remove one of those lines along with the other lines your showing. Take a look at this diagram it should of some help to run down your heating problem hopefully?
I’d like to ask though………. with all those open vacuum lines you have; don’t you have any problems with your idle?
And my take on a bad heater core is this
Unless you smell antifreeze, your windows haze over, you seestained carpet from antifreeze or see signs of anti freeze under your car... more than likely you don't have a bad heater core.

I went out and was able to snag one picture, but the stupid batteries died on my camera[:@] Let me know if you want more, I can run down to CVS to get more batteries for more pics.

which one, I know the one that says S is source, the next two arent connected to anything, and B/B is connected to the brake booster. if you can get a pciture that would be great. is the S/C one the one that goes down into the car for the HVAC?

okay, thanks alot, those lines arent connected to anything, so how can they leak? that one on the tree, i noticed that a while back and i filled the tip of that rubber plug where it turns to har dplastic up with epoxy. im going to study those diagrams and see if i cant find my problem. where in the fender well should the vacuum reservoirbe? mainly what i need now, is where at does the source for vacuum go through the firewall? and im like 99% sure i dont have a vacuum reservoir, so can you still order those at parts stores? or am i gonna go hunting. to be sure, that plug i pictured in the 2nd pic is only for the thermactor stuff, and the air pump, and the egr? none of that is on my motor, so i shouldnt have to worry about any of it

Its dark out and I dont have a flash light and my garage light is currently out, I'll take more pics tomorrow to show you. I stole batteries from my remotes but its hard to make out what im shooting at the moment. Or what color goes to where. Ill update tomorrow afternoon.
