Only after a certain rpm under heavy accel like 2.5kish itll start, i have a CAI and stock TB

started about a month and a half ago before hte CAI

Last week i replaced some coolant hoses that were leaking and the noise seem sto dissapear but its back again. sounds like metal on metal grinding almost, can't really hear it with you rhead under the hood only in the car under heavy accel..

what is CAI? and do you have an air intake?

its not ur belt is it.

cai means cold air intake or as it should be called warm air intake so yes he does have one

mmm interesting thoery about the belt.... i can't hear the noise when im under the hood, but if i stick my head out of the hood and put it between the hood and the windshield i hear it pretty good, and when the hood is down you can hear it very audibly... if it were the belt any cheap fixes? perhaps it needs a little grease?

any one? this sounds like pure metal on metal, can't hear it with head under hood only when its out of there, most audible with hood down, its driving me nuts! feels like car has lost some power due to it....
