honestly imo. if money is not the issue then sell the hood you have and buy the cervinis. it has the weight that your looking for to keep it from cracking and all. maybe over the years it could.i understand how you want to stick with metal.i had a fiberglass hood when i bought minen traded this kid for his stocker in great condition. im gonna leave my car looking stock. but buy the cervinis, therewont be as much prep work as you think. they fit pretty well.

have the cross brace cut and moved up closer to the hood for clearance that you need and then cut you some pieces that fit in the space you have left and weld them in.

Ok guys, I've solved the issue. I sent the hood back because of small damage(dent) an the hood. I would have done this in the begining but it was delivered without my presence or a signature. Anyway, I think I have decided on the Cervini 2.5" hood. I was told that this hood does have functional cowl space and that it is a very good product. Anyone have any experiences with this hood or pictures of it on your car?

Cervinis Cobra R. Awesome product! Fit and finish are great. Totally finished under hood, bolt on hinges and latch, and there is no need for hood pins!
