Supercharger or Turbocharger
I have an '87 Foxbody about 120k mi
Supercharger or Turbocharger? its def a future plan of mine, cant really afford a new charger setup of any kind, so ill probably find a semi-used setup
but here we go.........give me any info on which way i should go, SUPER or TURBO charged,
spill your guts everyone, tell me every up and down, i apprecite it [sm=icon_cheers.gif]

well you do have more heat and more piping with turbo's...other than the price for a good kit, yes you can make ur own for the price of a s/c, (not junk stuff either) but thats pretty much the downsides to turbos.

Turbo's make more power than s/c's due they have no parasitic drag from a belt that turns the crank and other accessories. A s/c can had in most cases cheaper than a turbo. It all depends on your budget. Also consider you might have to freshen up the motor to handle any type of boost. A conservative 4-6 psi of boost would be safe bet for your motor, anything higher could cause issues.
