well an aluminum is a good way to go. the vibration could be the harmonci balancer had a similar prob myself and balancer fixed. as for the gears richmond gears and fms gears are made by the same company as is motive. i have fms and they wine had richmond and they wined. never had a set that diddent but mine only wine at around 45-50 mph.

well nothing else has changed except the shaft...i had a whinning in the rear, and we all knew it was the gears, but my boss suggested i rebalance the driveshaft and i did, and i put new u-joints, and i put it back in and the whine has not changed, but now it vibrates at speed...and i know its not wheels, it is something in the drivline specifically transmission to rear..yea there isnt play up and down, i was under it for a while today...the only thing i noticed, is with it jacked up and it in nuetral, i can turn the driveshaft maybe a half inch in either direction before the wheels will move
