Default C/C Plates

Hey im gettin ready to install my c/c plates before i take it in for an alignment, just wondering. Is there a way to lower the strut/hub assembly without taking it all apart( as in just unbolting the strut tower mount and lowering it). I figure ill ask now because i need to reserve some time if itll take a good bit.
