yes it works great , as long as there is no crease in the metal. it shrinks and expands the metal back to its original formed shape. alot of body shops use this technique believe it or not.

That's true, down here in Texas, with a dark colored car, in summer you can just park it out in the sun and throw icewater on it, and it'll do the same thing. But like was said above, it only works for "soft" dents, or dents without creases.
For hard dents, the paintless dent repair guys will do a panel for $60-70, and it does an AWESOME job. The guy I use only charges $45/panel if you have 3 or more done at a time.
