gear lube
im getting ready to install gears on my car but not sure what weight gear lube would be best. plus i want to know sincve im rebuilding my trac lok and i know you have to soak the clutches in the modifier but should i put the whol dif in a thing a lube while its waiting to get installed

I use 80-90, but alot of guys seem to run 75-90 (I think). I just found the ford spec number for diff fluid and the only one that matched was the castrol hypoy c that i found at Pep ******. (Its a 80-90) and you'll need a bottle of friction modifier (Ford). When soaking the clutches, mke sure they are seperated while soaking them. Do not assemble them and then soak them.

Get some royal purple 80-90
If you dont use a fluid that has the additive already in it, you need to use the special additive...I forget what its called...
Lucas has it in it already, thats what i used.

There's not going to be much difference between the 75/90 and the 80/90. If you look at their tech page, there's almost no difference. I would use the 75/90 It's really preference at this point
