What do I pick?

I have a Gt parts car with a t5 but I have a 86 t top v6 auto im using for my builder. I am building my 351 atm but what do I do about the transmission? I want the manual for the fun-ness I know the auto is faster and more percise but.. Should I build the aod or the t5? I can only spend like a grand.

id go with the t5 send it to astro performance astroperformance.com and get one of there rebuilt t-5's they can hold like 600 hp on some and higher if u get a a-5

you like the t-5, stay with it.

Always stay with what you like; your gonna be the one drving this machine.

The advantage would also be weight saving. I pick up AOD transmissions , and with the converter wow@

The V6 auto won't bolt up anyway, T-5 ATW

Definately use the T5.
My car currently has an AOD and I cant stand it anymore so Im ripping it out and putting in a T5.
I dont care that the AOD is more consistent for racing considering 95% of the time Im driving the car Im not racing.
