yea iv had it looked at by more than one mechanic and one is a family friend who looked at it top to bottom and only thing i can think of is that its clogged in the cats and just backed up so much the engine is choked (original cats on a 91), or theres some sort of timing/ignition problem that we cant find

U should try cleaning or changing the Mass Air Sensor. Because my stang doing the same thing and I cleaned the sensor and it ran alot better. But my sensor had water damage in the past so it started back to doing it again But i got a feeling that mite beyour prob. But its worth a try just get some Mass Air Sensor Cleaner.

I'm pretty sure I'm in the same boat as brian47p... It's not running smoothly at all and I don't have the money to get it looked at or guess around with parts right now..

Check the vacuum lines to make sure they aren't cracked/leaking.... and I know it almost sounds linsulting to your intelligence, but DOUBLE CHECK that all thespark plug wires are going to the correct cylinders.

i did a cleanout of the iac and that made it run beautiful for about 2 hours, then the problem jsut went right back. and the mass air is all good i had that all checked out and i took it all apart myself wen i put cold air in. the plugs are all in the right cylinders, im pretty much ready to drive it into a wall and take the insurance money and find another one
