Default Removed Catalytic Converter Resulted in Power Loss

I have a 95 mustang gt and recently dropped it extremely low. So low that the catalytic converters were only about 1-2 inches off the ground, so I had to remove them (Stock Exhaust). After doing so, my car lost a lot of power and feels like it is running rich. Does anyone know any fixes to get my lost power back? Aftermarket exhaust perhaps?

Are you at leastrunning an off road x or h pipe. You may not have enough back pressure without at least an x or h pipe.

Is your motor still stock? That can happen on an unmodified engine.

You have a lack in backpressure making your car seem guttless buy a full exhaust w/ an off road pipe and you should get some power back

You need an exhaust system that's designed to work without cats. Most cars with cats have larger diameter pipes after the cat than before, to account for the exhaust gas expansion from the heat generated by the catalytic reaction. Take out the cats you take out the heat, and suddenly the pipes become too large for the volume of exhaust gas, since the volume is smaller due to the lack of expansion from the heat. Just get a good aftermarket system. Keep the stock stuff for when you have to get it smogged if you need to though

Do you think you have a terminater pushing 400+rwhp.Open exhaust on a n\a 5.0, unless done to the **** is useless, unless you just want the sound.
