Default MSD Retard Module ?

If you have ever heard a MSD digital 6 igniton you no that it has a built in timing retard module. I would like to add a retard module to my MSD 6al IGNITON without having to buy the Digital 6. The part I was looking at getting is the MSD adjustable Ignition retard module: PART # MSD-8676 on summitracing.com

I can't find any instrutions on how to hook it up ignition box. It looks like it plugs into the box itself or a 2-3step rev limiter.

If this part can succefully be wired in, will it make my car pop and backfire at the starting line when im on the rev-limiter. Everyone else I see that has a digital 6, makes their cars pop and shoot flames out the exhaust like crazy. The only difference between their box and mine is the built-in retard module, so that must be whats making it do that.

HELP !
