heating issue again
Ok So I fixed the issue where the heat would only stay on defrost, but now after doing some more work to the car and replacing the thermostat, the heat will not blow out warm at all.It feels like maybe 70 degrees. So Someone told me to look at this valve that controls the heat and cooling on the heating controls. So I took off the controlls again and see that where the temp setting is behind it is a metal lever that leads into a black wire, and this black wire leads into this mechanism semi behind the glove box that also looks like it goes into the firewall.Any ideas? Its getting really hard to drive its really cold now here,so I need some help.thanks.
Ya anyone?please.Would this do it?I have a 180 thermostat now in there.I went out yesterday and bought a 195.I figure its good to have both anyways for summer and when its cold like now.You think I should try that? Also Ive never put in a thermostat before,I saw only 2 bolts is tat it and it will come out? Also will some coolant leak out? Thanks.
did you burp the cooling system? sounds like you have an air bubble in the heater lines. take the rad cap off and run the car put the heat on full blast and watch your coolant level drop then just fill it back up and you should be good
check your heater core, antifreeze level, other then that im not sure what to tell you. Sounds like you could be low on antifreeze, or your heater core could be plugged. Other then that, dunno what to tell ya. Also, 70 degrees aint bad lol. Also, your running a mix on your antifreeze right?
ya so i just ran the car with the rad cap off and let it heat up.The fluid dropped and I had the heat on full blast but it still was not warm.well it was a little warm but deff not what it should be.The anti freeze level is fine checked that.and i didnt put the t stat in the person who just replaced the radiator and water pump and everything did.So I dont know my next idea would be to try my 195 t stat i bought yesterday and take out the 180.
