Fox parts interchange?

Fox parts interchange?
I have a line on an 85 T-bird with a 5.0 from an SN95swapped into it. The car needs finishing. The rear is spent, and the suspension is still 99% stock Tbird. The motor runs well (I know the emchanic who did the swap for the guy, and the motor was taken from a running drivable wreck) and the body is straight and rust free. The seller is telling me that Fox parts from the same era (84 to 86) cars will fit. Is this true, or is the guy blowing smoke.

RE: Fox parts interchange?
This is true. Actually the pre 87 t-bird is the same for nearly all Fox mustang parts regardless of year. 87-88 T-bird are almost all the same or could be made the same.
Wheel base is just longer so the driveline will not work.

yup the fox based t-birds not the m112 or whatever it was.... are interchangeable. you can use a mustang 8.8 out back, or even a turbo coupe t-bird. they were 4 wheel disc if I remember and I think they were 8.8 dont hold me to it.
but the suspension parts you'd buy for a fox will work if I remember correctly

RE: Fox parts interchange?
yep they all interchange! I have a turbo coupe front k member and 8.8 rear in the back of my beast. The Rear and front k member are a little bit wider then stock which is good for road racing and they are a little(not alot) lighter then stock stang
