Default valve spring question for people with E303

I was wondering what valve springs people were running with their e303 cams. I'm running crower single coils, and i'm trying to see if they are too weak for the cam. If they are, i'm guessing that i need to run double coil springs.

any insight on this for me???

thanks,
jeff

you wont NEED dual springs... i am putting in a bigger cam then the e cam, and yea right now i have a dual spring set up for them, im going to return for a single spring set up w. more seat pressure.

so should i even worry about getting different springs??? It seems as if the valve guides are too wide to run dual springs on them anyway, i guess that explains dimebag's machining theory.

also, can someone explain to me what the damper does???

dampeners do exactly that.

they help with the vibrations from the springs opening and closing - it smooths things out up there.
