Exhaust leak??
Sounds like the motor is showing signs of age.Sounds like valve tick. Mine started making a barely audible noise about a year ago and hasn't gotten worse. I wouldn't worry about it but thats just me. Btw mine comes from drivers side head, near the middle/back of the motor.

I think he might of sucked a bird through the intake??? Yeah probably a small exhaust leak.

My lifter chirped like mad when it failed, the needle bearing disintegrated and came out, and the roller was flopping around and hammering on the cam lobe. The chirping is from friction of metal on metal, my guess is that there's a problem with the valvetrain. A tick could be perfectly normal, but a harsh metallic-like chirp is usually metal rubbing on metal.

well.. the first thing i noticed about your post is how quickly the seller was to note it has just started happening in the past two weeks.. yea,, that makes it not so big of a deal.. through all the cars i have bought and sold i have learned that if someone throws me that.. usually.. not always.. but usually it is just bull**** and they feel they just need to say whatever they need to say to get the car sold. just my $.02 later
