anybody know the spec on the piston ring gap on a 302?

Stock? It depends on the manufacturer of the pistons/ringsand the application.

those specs are for stock or stock replacement rings. should be the same for cast iron or moly coated - when you get into plasma coated high dollar rings the gaps may change
